New Growth, New Opportunities

Hi everyone, and welcome to my new blog. From now on, this is where you can find out about the latest happenings at The Masha Krupp Translation Group Ltd. (MKTG).

It has been an eventful summer and fall season here at head office with a raft of fresh contracts, some exciting hires, a growing roster of community events involving MKTG, and a new, state-of-the-art IT infrastructure.

As our business grows, so does our need for senior managers who can help evolve along with the pace. I want to publicly welcome Guylaine Waldron as our new General Manager. Guylaine hails from Quebec City and, since she arrived almost a year ago, has added great energy and efficiency to our operations. In a remarkably short time, she has streamlined our management structure and made critical operational changes that ensure our business model delivers superior client service.

We had a wonderful time sponsoring the third annual Amethyst Track Challenge again this year on July 22. The Amethyst Women’s Addiction Centre is Ottawa’s only day treatment addiction centre for women and it’s a cause we support wholeheartedly. The bonus in sponsoring this event is that we get to have some fun while we contribute to the community! I encourage you to put together a corporate team and join in the celebrations and friendly competition next year: www.amethyst-ottawa.org

Over the past several months, we’ve concentrated on refining our staff and operations to be nimbler and more responsive to our clients’ needs than ever before.  In order to accomplish this we have gone to great lengths to build a system that coordinates every application and communication together. It dramatically improves our security walls, equips us with multiple layers of recovery in case of disaster and automates many business processes.  Key to our continued technological success is the friends at NeoLore Networks Inc. who will ensure that we can focus on translation rather than IT administration.

Importantly, the new system positions MKTG for future growth — and grow we will! Now the largest translation company in Canada, we recently added Canada Post to our roster of high-volume clients. We won a multi-year, multi-million contract over the winter, adding substantially to our astonishing growth in 2010–2011 — and it’s just a taste of things to come for 2011–2012.

Finally, thanks to all our clients and staff for a hugely productive winter and spring. I look forward to working with all of you in the months ahead.
